On July 1, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee held a regular meeting in June 2025, assessing the socio-economic development results of the first half of the year.
According to the report of the Department of Finance, the total state budget revenue in the first 6 months of the year reached VND13,824 billion, equal to 78% of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council, an increase of 14% over the same period in 2024. Of which, domestic revenue reached about VND12,865 billion (equal to 80% of the estimate, up more than 8%), revenue from import-export activities reached VND870 billion.

In 2025, Nghe An sets a target of budget revenue of VND26,000 billion, much higher than the planned target of VND17,726 billion. Domestic revenue alone (excluding land use fees and lottery) is expected to reach VND13,955 billion; revenue from land use fees is VND10,270 billion and import-export is VND1,650 billion.
The provincial financial sector is focusing on promoting administrative reform, preventing revenue and loss, expanding tax facilities, supporting businesses and taxpayers, determined to complete and exceed the budget collection targets this year.
