The Customs Department announced the temporary suspension of customs declaration reception from 10:00 p.m. on June 30 to 5:00 a.m. on July 1, 2025 to upgrade the information technology system.

The Customs Department has just issued Document No. 11066/CHQ-CNTT dated June 27, 2025 announcing the temporary suspension of customs declaration reception from 10:00 p.m. on June 30, 2025 to 5:00 a.m. on July 1, 2025 to serve the implementation of the new information technology system.

The temporary suspension is to prepare for upgrading the IT system, meeting the requirements of the new organizational structure according to the industry's digital transformation plan. The Customs Department requested the State Treasury, the Tax Department, the Department of Information Technology and Digital Transformation (Ministry of Finance), commercial banks and the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry to proactively coordinate in implementing work during the period when the system is temporarily suspended from receiving.

Previously, after streamlining the customs system from 63 provinces and cities to 20 regional customs branches, the Customs Department also temporarily stopped receiving data from satellite information technology systems, electronic payment gateways and reset the budget relationship code, treasury account, and treasury code for all customs branches, from 11pm on March 14 to 5am on March 15, 2025.
