On the afternoon of August 31, the Regional Defense Commands under the Military Command of An Giang province handed over 204 2-wheeled motorbikes to the Commune-level Military Commands. With careful and active preparation, the handover was carried out quickly, ensuring the procedures were in accordance with regulations.
At the Defense Command of Region 6 - Ngoc Chuc, 36 2-wheeled motorbikes were handed over to 13 Military Commands of communes and wards. Speaking at the handover ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Hoai Nam, Deputy Commander of the National Defense Command of Region 6 - Ngoc Chuc requested: The Military Commands at the commune and ward levels after receiving the vehicle need to manage, exploit and use the vehicle closely, in accordance with regulations, effectively, ensuring safety, economy and traffic safety. Each officer and soldier needs to consider this as a valuable asset of the unit, regularly preserve, maintain... to ensure the promotion of functions and best serve the implementation of tasks.
Following the direction of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense, from July 2025, the General Department of Logistics and Engineering has urgently implemented a plan to purchase and equip more than 6,000 motorbikes for more than 3,000 military branches at the commune and ward levels nationwide. Each unit is assigned 2 vehicles, of which the Military Command of An Giang province is equipped with 204 vehicles.
Immediately after receiving the vehicle, the An Giang Provincial Military Command quickly coordinated with specialized agencies to register the military vehicle license plate, make a vehicle registration certificate strictly, in accordance with the regulations of the military motorbike industry and hand it over to the regional defense command boards on schedule.
According to Colonel Vu The Van, Deputy Commander of the An Giang Provincial Military Command, "By 3:00 p.m. on August 31, all 204 motorbikes had been handed over to the Military Committees of communes and wards in accordance with regulations. The vehicles handed over on this occasion are not only material assets, but also demonstrate the concern of the Party and State, the determination of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to build and consolidate local armed forces, contributing to building a strong national defense in the new revolutionary period.
