Recently (afternoon of October 6), at the Town Hall of Koh Kong province, the Kingdom of Cambodia, the An Giang Provincial People's Committee and the Koh Kong Provincial People's Committee solemnly held a signing ceremony for cooperation in searching, collecting, and repatriating the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died during the war in Cambodia in Koh Kong province, during the 25th period, the 2025-2026 dry season.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Trung Ho said: since the implementation of the Agreement between the Government of Vietnam and the Government of the Royal Family of Cambodia signed on August 28, 2000 in the capital Phnom Penh; up to now, the 2 teams for the search and collection of martyrs' remains in An Giang province have searched and collected 4,286 martyrs' remains in 6 provinces of the Kingdom of Cambodia. In Koh Kong province alone, Team K92 has searched and collected 160 martyrs' remains, of which 2 martyrs' remains have been searched and collected in the 2024 - 2025 dry season.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that thanks to the close coordination, enthusiastic and wholehearted support of leaders at all levels, authorities, the Specialized Committee, the Armed Forces and the People of Koh Kong province in collecting, providing information, guiding, protecting and assisting the K92 Team in searching for and collecting martyrs' remains; meeting the expectations of martyrs' relatives and contributing to fulfilling the responsibility of the State, the Army and the People of Vietnam towards the spirit of martyrs who sacrificed for international missions.

The signing ceremony is not only a friendly cooperation activity between the two neighboring provinces, but also an act of gratitude, demonstrating the noble gestures and deep gratitude of the Party, State of Vietnam and the Kingdom of Cambodia for the heroic martyrs who sacrificed during the war, so that the two countries can have peace, independence and unity as they have today.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Hak Leng, Deputy Head of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Koh Kong Provincial People's Committee, highly appreciated the active cooperation of the Provincial People's Committees, and relevant units that have closely coordinated and made every effort in terms of intelligence and high sense of responsibility to complete the task and achieve continuous achievements in the past time.
Mr. Hak Leng affirmed that in the coming time, Koh Kong province will continue to support cooperation, surveys, searches and information provision to complete tasks and successfully complete cooperation between the two provinces. At the same time, support the plan to continue cooperation in searching, collecting, and repatriating the remains of volunteer soldiers and Vietnamese experts who died during the war in Cambodia in Koh Kong province in the XXV period, the 2025-2026 dry season and the following years.

On this occasion, the An Giang Provincial People's Committee awarded funds from the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to support the Koh Kong Provincial People's Committee in coordinating the search, collection, and repatriation of the remains of volunteer soldiers and Vietnamese experts who died during the war in Cambodia in Koh Kong province. At the same time, the gifts were presented to express sincere gratitude, noble feelings, help and create all favorable conditions of the government, armed forces and people of Koh Kong province to help the task force and Team K92, An Giang Provincial Military Command successfully complete their tasks in the past time.
