On the afternoon of September 22, the Propaganda and Extension Subcommittee to encourage, welcome, and celebrate the 1st An Giang Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, held a press conference to provide information on the congress.
At the press conference, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Tong Phuoc Truong said that the Congress will take place for 2 days from October 2-3, 2025. The admission session began at 2:00 p.m. on October 2; The official session opened at 8:00 a.m. on October 3.

The Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee also informed that, welcoming the Provincial Party Congress towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, An Giang province will organize the groundbreaking ceremony and inauguration of 10 works and projects.
Accordingly, 5 projects serving APEC 2027 are underway, including: Phu Quoc International Airport, with a total investment of VND 22,000 billion; DT.975 road, Phu Quoc special site, with a total investment of VND 2,500 billion; APEC Avenue in Phu Quoc special zone, with a total investment of VND 1,820 billion; Cua Can Lake project, Phu Quoc special site, with a total investment of VND 1,026 billion; APEC Conference center, with a total investment of VND 21,860 billion.
In addition, a bridge has been started on the coastal road connecting An Bien - Rach Gia, with a total investment of VND 3,900 billion; the belt road parallel to DT 942, An Hoi commune location, with a total investment of VND 149.8 billion; the Nui Sam cultural park roundabout, with a total investment of more than VND 94.8 billion; upgrading and expanding Huong Lo 11 road, with a total investment of more than VND 222.3 billion; Inauguration of Phu Tho Secondary School, with a total investment of more than VND 72.4 billion.
The 1st An Giang Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, is an important political event of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee, government and people. The Congress is of special significance in the context of the province having just gone through a merger process, opening a new period of comprehensive and sustainable development. The Congress will objectively and comprehensively assess the implementation of the Congress Resolution for the 2020 - 2025 term, clarify the results achieved, shortcomings, limitations, causes and draw lessons; at the same time, identify viewpoints, goals, tasks and main solutions for the 2025 - 2030 term.
