On August 1, An Giang Provincial Police held a launching ceremony for the peak period of attacking and suppressing crimes to ensure security and order (ANTT), serving activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day on September 2 and Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.
Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Phong, Permanent Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged and commended the sense of responsibility and efforts of the Provincial Police force in the past time, which have ensured the stability of the security and order situation, serving the socio-economic development of the locality.
He emphasized: In the context of crimes and law violations still having many potential complications, the police force in the whole province needs to promote proactiveness, innovate methods, and effectively implement professional measures. Closely coordinate with departments, branches, unions and the masses, resolutely attack and suppress crimes, absolutely protect the safety of commemorative activities and move towards Party Congresses at all levels.
He affirmed that the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee will always care about and create all conditions for the Provincial Police to excellently complete their assigned tasks.
Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Nhat Truong, Deputy Director of An Giang Provincial Police, said: This peak period is of special significance, aiming to maintain security and order stability, create a safe and healthy environment to serve the people happily and enthusiastically celebrate major national holidays and move towards the Party Congresses at all levels.
The police in the whole province will proactively deploy synchronous professional measures, fight against all types of criminal, drug, economic and environmental crimes; destroy rings and criminal gangs, eliminate complicated gathering places on security and order; at the same time, strengthen patrols, control, strictly handle violations of the law, ensure absolute safety for major political, cultural and social events.
On behalf of the entire force, Lieutenant Colonel Danh Ngoc Thu, Head of the Criminal Police Department, expressed his determination, readiness to receive and excellently complete all assigned tasks; resolutely fight and suppress all types of crimes, contribute to ensuring security and order, serve the people happily and enthusiastically to celebrate the major and successful holidays of the Party Congresses at all levels.
The peak period is from now until the end of the National Day on September 2 and throughout the process of organizing Party Congresses at all levels. The An Giang Provincial Police force promotes a high sense of responsibility, tightens discipline, strengthens administrative inspection, armed patrols, strongly prevents and suppresses all types of social evils and violations of the law, maintains security and order throughout the area, firmly protects national security, successfully serves important political events, contributes to building An Giang to be more and more peaceful and developed.
Immediately after the ceremony, nearly 400 officers and soldiers marched and praised the forces across the central routes of Rach Gia.
