The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has just issued a decision to appoint Mr. Dang Cong Huong - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Bac Ninh province to concurrently hold the position of Director of the Bac Ninh Provincial Natural Disaster Prevention and Control Fund.
According to the Decision, Mr. Dang Cong Huong is responsible for directing the completion of the organization of the Fund management and operation apparatus in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 63/2025/ND-CP dated March 5, 2025 of the Government amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 78/2021/ND-CP dated August 1, 2021 and enjoying the policies and regimes according to current regulations.
This decision takes effect from the date of signing. Heads of agencies and units: Provincial People's Committee Office, Department of Agriculture and Environment, Provincial Military Command, Provincial Natural Disaster Prevention and Control Fund, relevant agencies and Mr. Dang Cong Huong are responsible for implementing this Decision.
According to the 2013 Law on Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, the natural disaster prevention and control fund is a fund established at the provincial level, managed by the provincial People's Committee.
The natural disaster prevention and control fund does not include the state budget and does not originate from the state budget.
The Natural Disaster Prevention and Control Fund is used to support natural disaster prevention and control activities and prioritize support for the following activities: Emergency relief on food, drinking water, medicine and other urgent needs for those affected by natural disasters; support for the repair of houses, medical facilities, schools; and environmental sanitation in disaster areas.
