Gia Binh International Airport has been approved by the Ministry of Construction to adjust the Master Plan for the development of the national airport system for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.
Accordingly, the total area of Gia Binh International Airport will be increased to about 1,960 hectares.
Up to now, the Gia Thuan Land Fund Development Center Branch has reviewed with the locality and land users in Thu Phap village with an area of about 4.3 hectares (the planned location is the land for building VIP stations), developed a compensation plan and approved the compensation and support unit price of Bac Ninh province (old) of 441,000 VND/m2 of long-term agricultural land.
For the early acquisition area to start construction in the third quarter of 2025, located in the VIP guesthouse area in the APEC visitors' reception area, it is recommended that the provincial sectors guide the procedures for handing over land so that potential investors can soon deploy the work of zoning, measuring, marking and other preparation work.
At the same time, it is recommended that the province report and propose to the Central Government to issue a special mechanism to allow the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province to advance capital for compensation, support, and resettlement before the Decision to adjust the investment policy is approved by the National Assembly...
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dao Quang Khai emphasized that the Gia Binh International Airport Project is a national key project, of special interest to the Party, State, National Assembly, and Government, a project to welcome APEC - 2027 and has a driving force to contribute to promoting socio-economic development and growth of the province in the coming period.
Therefore, the guiding spirit of the Central and the province is to mobilize the participation of the entire political system, "running and lining up at the same time", with many specific policies to implement; determined to start the Gia Binh International Airport Project on August 19, 2025.
Mr. Dao Quang Khai suggested that Gia Binh commune coordinate with relevant departments, branches and units to urgently implement compensation for more than 700 hectares of the Project Phase 2.
In the immediate future, focus on compensation for the started construction area, completing compensation for 1.6 hectares of land completed before August 10.
At the same time, implement resettlement and cemetery relocation projects with the viewpoint of doing it correctly, democratically, objectively, the resettlement area must be worthy, modern, synchronous, and beneficial to the people at the highest level and in accordance with legal regulations.
The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province requested relevant departments, branches, units and localities to urgently prepare the necessary conditions to start the project according to plan.
Submit the plan and scenario for organizing the groundbreaking ceremony to the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee before 31.7; note that the location of the groundbreaking ceremony must ensure space, area, security, order, traffic safety and the groundbreaking ceremony must be truly worthy of the national-level project.
