Bac Ninh - The Dai Lai commune cemetery park project has an area of 45 hectares, buried in the form of sand burial and ashes.

On October 7, at the People's Committee of Dai Lai Commune, Mr. Pham Van Thinh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh Province chaired a dialogue conference, listening to the opinions of the people of Chi Nhi Village on the 1/500 Detailed Planning Project and the implementation of the Dai Lai Commune Cemetery Park project.

Reporting on the implementation of the province's planning and the planning of the Gia Binh International Airport Project, Director of the Department of Construction of Bac Ninh Nguyen Viet Hung said that Gia Binh International Airport is planned on an area of nearly 2,000 hectares, a national key project, not only a gateway to Hanoi and the North but also a major transit airport of the region.

Along with the Gia Binh International Airport project, the province also invests in many connecting traffic routes. Therefore, many communal houses, pagodas, churches, cemeteries, households... had to be relocated.

The Dai Lai Commune Cemetery Park project is planned with an area of about 45 hectares; of which the cemetery area is about 20 hectares, the rest is the area of isolated green trees, miniature parks, landscape trees and commercial service areas.

The cemetery park is expected to be invested in and built about 100 - 200m from the residential area with synchronous technical infrastructure, meeting the needs of Junelian services, in accordance with local customs and practices.

The park area is located in a future urban area, so it is only buried in the form of sand burial and ashes. The scale of the number of graves is about 25,000 - 30,000 graves.

This is a key project of the province, serving the development of the locality, but the province will review and arrange a suitable part of the land area in the cemetery park to serve the needs of the people of Chi Nhi village for about 100 years.

At the conference, the people of Chi Nhi village raised many concerns and hoped that the leaders of the province and commune would directly answer some questions related to the legal basis for project implementation in the area; the reasons for increasing the cemetery park planning area compared to the original; adjusting the cemetery boundary; reconsidering the location and relocating the cemetery park to another area...

Concluding the conference, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Pham Van Thinh acknowledged the enthusiastic and frank opinions of the people of Chi Nhi village. At the same time, they directly discussed and answered a number of contents of interest to the people.

Regarding the planning area of the cemetery Park project, Mr. Thinh said that according to the original plan, the Dai Lai Commune cemetery Park Project had an area of 20 hectares, however, to ensure the general landscape of the area south of the Duong River, the province has researched and arranged additional green areas and surrounding sub-parks with an area of about 25 hectares.

Suggesting some ideas related to the current planning of cemetery parks, the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province affirmed that the province will fully synthesize the opinions of the people, review, study carefully and will re- supply information in the coming time.

Mr. Pham Van Thinh also hopes that the people of Chi Nhi village in particular and the people in the province will continue to accompany and support Bac Ninh province, contributing to promoting the homeland's increasingly strong development.
