Due to the impact of storm No. 10 and the widespread heavy rain, in Tien Du commune, there have been 3 landslides on Ngu Huyen Khe river in Vinh Phuc, An Phu, Gioi Te villages with a total length of about 110m and 1 leak at An Phu pumping station.
Faced with the above situation, Tien Du commune promptly grasped the current situation and proposed solutions to handle the placement of warning signs in dangerous areas, mobilizing 60 people from the shock force, 950 bamboo trees, 20,000 sacks, 365m3 of soil, 6 transport vehicles, 2 excavators... to urgently handle the incident according to the "4 on-site" motto.
At the same time, arrange a standing force, send professional staff to closely monitor areas at risk of further landslides to have a handling plan, ready for further response.
After listening to the commune's report and directly inspecting the landslides, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Ngo Tan Phuong highly appreciated the proactive spirit of the Party Committee and government of Tien Du commune in mobilizing human resources, materials, and means to promptly handle and respond to the landslide incident on the Ngu Huyen Khe riverbank caused by storms.
Emphasizing that in the coming time, Bac Ninh province will continue to be susceptible to heavy rains caused by storms and tropical depressions, Mr. Ngo Tan Phuong requested Tien Du commune to urgently mobilize all forces, materials and means to promptly overcome and handle landslides on the Ngu Huyen Khe river bank by October 4.
Review the reserve funds at the commune level to handle landslides, if they do not meet the request of the province to arrange funds from the provincial Natural Disaster Prevention Fund according to regulations.
Proactively coordinate with relevant departments and branches to continue reviewing and promptly detecting incidents related to dykes, irrigation works, and residential areas prone to flooding.
From there, develop and deploy solutions and timely remedial measures to ensure the safety of people's lives and property, essential infrastructure and agricultural production in the area.
