On the morning of June 26, Ky Anh Commune Police said that the unit had just coordinated with the Forest Protection Department, Ky Anh Commune Economic Department and a household in Hung Phu village to hand over a flower iguana weighing about 6kg to the Vu Quang National Park Management Board for care and release back to the natural environment.
Previously, in the afternoon of June 24, Ms. Nguyen Thi T's family discovered a flower iguana in Hung Phu village, so they arrested it and reported it to the Ky Anh Commune Police.
The vase lizard individual that functional agencies received belongs to group IIB - endangered, precious, and rare forest animals.
