On December 11, the Land Fund Development Center of Ca Mau province coordinated with the People's Committee of Dat Mui commune to organize the handover of the land for the Land Acquisition, Compensation, Support and Resettlement Project to implement the Ca Mau - Dat Mui Expressway to construction units in the commune.
The Ca Mau - Dat Mui Expressway passes through 4 hamlets of Dat Mui commune including: Ba Khue, Nuoc Soi Bay, Kinh Nam and Khai Long, with a total length of 13.9 km. The project affects 109.7 hectares of land of an organization, the Dat Mui Protective Forest Management Board and 133 households and individuals.

The compensation, support and resettlement plan was approved by the People's Committee of Dat Mui commune in Decision No. 412/QD-UBND dated November 11, 2025, with a total cost of nearly 54 billion VND.
Immediately after the land acquisition, compensation, support and resettlement plan was approved by competent authorities, the Land Fund Development Center of Ca Mau province coordinated with the People's Committee of Dat Mui commune and related units to announce land acquisition; develop a land acquisition plan; conduct investigation, survey, measurement and inventory.
To date, the Center has completed 100% of site clearance, measurement and inventory of assets attached to land of 133 households, individuals and 1 organization.

The entire Ca Mau - Dat Mui Expressway is about 81 km long, passing through 10 communes, with 2 stops and 8 intersections. Along both sides of the expressway, there are residential access roads and water access roads for production and travel of people. The project has a total land acquisition area of about 713.09 hectares. The project passes through 10 communes of Ca Mau province, with a total compensation, support and resettlement for the project of over 2,000 billion VND. The project affects about 3 organizations, 1,819 households and individuals.
Ca Mau is determined to hand over the site to the construction unit on schedule before December 15, 2025.
