On the afternoon of July 24, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province Lam Van Bi inspected the actual site clearance progress and preparation work at the expected start point of key projects in Kinh Nam hamlet, Dat Mui commune. The projects include the Ca Mau - Dat Mui Expressway, the route connecting the mainland to Hon Khoai Island and Hon Khoai Port.

At the destinations, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province Lam Van Bi acknowledged the efforts of localities and units in urgently implementing tasks related to site clearance, measurement, marking and completing legal documents to serve the start of construction on schedule.
Mr. Lam Van Bi emphasized that these are strategic projects that not only contribute to the socio-economic development of the province but also create momentum for regional connectivity, promote trade and tourism in the Southern region.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches and localities to continue to closely coordinate, promptly remove difficulties and obstacles arising during the implementation process, ensure safety, comply with legal regulations and be ready for the groundbreaking ceremony according to the plan.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the projects is expected to take place on August 19.
According to the plan, the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway has a total length of about 81 km, running parallel to National Highway 1 and ending at Kinh Nam hamlet, Dat Mui commune, where it intersects with Ho Chi Minh road, connecting to Hon Khoai island. The route passes through 10 communes, with 2 stops and 8 intersections planned. The total area expected to be reclaimed to implement the project is about 713.09 hectares.
