On January 22, Major General Nguyen Hong Ky, Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police, directly inspected the implementation of the Plan to ensure security and safety of the Special Art Program to celebrate the success of the 14th National Party Congress at My Dinh National Stadium and neighboring areas.
Based on the specific assessment of the program with high-altitude fireworks displays, the forces have coordinated to calculate a plan to organize road prohibitions and restrictions on vehicles according to appropriate time frames, ensuring safety requirements and thoroughly grasping the spirit of minimizing prohibition time.
Major General Nguyen Hong Ky, Deputy Director of the City Police Department, requested to carefully review the routes of delegates' vehicles moving, organize reasonable checkpoints, proactively operate, avoid traffic congestion; officers on duty must firmly grasp the terrain, and flexibly handle arising situations.
Regarding fire prevention and fighting, Colonel Pham Trung Hieu - Head of the Fire and Rescue Police Department reported on the results of implementing the plan to arrange forces and vehicles in coordination with the My Dinh Stadium Management Board and the program organizing unit to regularly check conditions to ensure fire prevention and fighting safety.
The inspection focuses on electrical systems, technical areas, warehouses, stands, tarpaulin houses, LED screens and fireworks display areas, promptly detecting and overcoming potential unsafety risks, ensuring the best conditions for the Program to take place successfully and well.
Regarding ensuring the safety of fireworks display activities, Major General Nguyen Hong Ky, Deputy Director of the City Police Department, requested to absolutely comply with technical procedures, not to be subjective, not to speed up progress when safety conditions are not sufficient; and at the same time proactively plan to respond to bad weather, especially in situations of strong winds during fireworks display.
In addition to technical contents, Major General Nguyen Hong Ky also noted that coordination between forces must be close, information must be smooth, and issues arising must be promptly handled, ensuring both safety and preserving the image and aesthetics of the program.
Concluding the inspection, Major General Nguyen Hong Ky, Deputy Director of the City Police Department, requested units to continue to review synchronously the plan, strengthen field inspection, organize close-up testing of actual situations; proactively coordinate and promptly handle arising situations, ensuring that the Special Art Program takes place safely, solemnly, and on schedule.
The special art program "New Vision - New Era" to celebrate the success of the 14th Party Congress and the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam will take place at 8:00 PM on January 23, at My Dinh National Stadium.
The highlight of the program is a fireworks display lasting about 15 minutes. The total number of fireworks used includes 4,600 high-altitude fireworks, 950 flower sprayers of all kinds and 4,400 fireworks tubes.
Fireworks are installed on the roof and on both sides of stand B; high-altitude fireworks are arranged in the area from halfway Le Duc Tho street through the clock to the vacant lot in front of the Aquatic Sports Palace, Tu Liem ward.
This is considered one of the largest-scale programs ever in the fireworks displays in Hanoi.
