Quick report No. 83/BC-UBND stated the situation and handling of forest fires on April 12 in Binh Lieu district and Dai Yen ward, Ha Long city.
According to the People's Committee of Binh Lieu District, in the afternoon and evening of April 12, three consecutive forest fires in the area.
In Binh Lieu town, at 18h, a fire occurred in plot 6, sub -area 290, Pac Lieng area, with an affected area of about 40 hectares.

In Na Ngoai village, the commune of noa, at about 16h, the forest fire broke out in sub -area 284, Khe day area.
In Na Cai village, adjacent to Ban Ban Hon Village, Infinite Commune, at 15:00, the fire occurred in sub -area 285, the fire area was estimated at about 1.35 hectares.
The original reason was determined by the people to handle the vegetation, branches, dried firewood of acacia, eucalyptus were broken after Storm Yagi (storm No. 3 in 2024) to prepare for new afforestation. However, in the process of burning the vegetation, having thunderstorms with thunderstorms, the fire was swept into the wind causing spreading.
Upon receiving the news, the People's Committee of Binh Lieu district mobilized the total force with over 560 people and the means and supplies to deploy fire fighting, create fire -blocking runways and control the fire. Until 3:30 on April 13, the fire in Binh Lieu town was completely extinguished.
In Na Cau village, the fire was controlled at 0:20 on April 13.
At 10:30 p.m. on April 12, the fire in Na Nai village was extinguished.
On the same day, April 12, at 8:15 p.m., a forest fire broke out in the forest area of Lot 4, compartment 1, Sub-area 96B, Dai Yen Ward, Ha Long City.
The fire area is about 0.4ha wide, mainly ground cover and plants such as maple, eucalyptus, and acacia that were broken by storm Yagi.
The People's Committee of Ha Long City has directed the People's Committee of Dai Yen Ward to mobilize local forces (including police, self -defense militia, civil servants and local people) in collaboration with the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police force and forest rangers to organize fire fighting.
At 22h20 the same day, the fire was extinguished.
Facing complicated forest fires, especially in the affected forest areas after the storm, plus the prolonged dry weather, the provincial People's Committee issued Directive No. 03/CT-UBND dated April 13, 2025 on strengthening the management, protection of forest fire and forest fire prevention in the province.
Earlier, the province also issued Document No. 718/UBND-KTTC asking localities to strengthen the protection of the affected forest area after the storm.
The cause and extent of the property damage of forest fires are continuing to be investigated and verified by the authorities as prescribed.
