In Binh Lieu district, the fire broke out at about 21:30 in North Lieng, Khe Mu, Binh Lieu town. Strong wind caused the fire to spread, threatening nearby planting forests.

Through the field inspection, the fire burned down about 40 hectares of real estate and spread the fire to about 300m² of cinnamon area (trees from 1-2 years old) of the people."
The initial cause was that a household burned the ground cover to prepare for the new crop, but the fire could not be controlled, leading to a widespread fire.
