Lam Dong - In Bao Loc city, there are 118 areas at risk of subsidence, landslides and flash floods. The locality has developed a plan to respond to natural disasters.

On October 2, information from the People's Committee of Bao Loc city (Lam Dong) said that the unit has proactively organized preventive measures and effectively responded to flooding and landslides in the area in the coming time.

Proactively responding to this natural disaster aims to minimize damage to people's lives and property.

According to the People's Committee of Bao Loc City, the rainy season in the area lasts from May to November every year. In recent times, heavy rains have caused increasingly complex flooding and landslides.

It is worth mentioning that the frequency of landslides and the risk of landslides are increasing. As of September 2024, Bao Loc City has 118 areas at risk of subsidence, landslides and flash floods.

In which, there were 2 areas where serious landslides occurred, causing damage to people and property. To proactively prevent and effectively respond to natural disasters, Bao Loc City People's Committee continues to inspect, review and closely monitor areas at risk.

The local response motto is “4 on-site”. This will help minimize damage to people and property.

In addition, the city strengthens information and forecasting work, promptly and quickly warning people to proactively prevent, avoid and respond to possible natural disasters.

In particular, Bao Loc City also strengthens inspection and timely handling of violations of laws on natural disaster prevention, protection of irrigation works, acts of encroachment on river banks, and illegal exploitation of minerals and sand and gravel.

On the streets, Bao Loc City People's Committee also urgently inspected and reviewed trees at risk of falling, along traffic routes in residential areas, offices, schools, medical stations, etc.

In particular, Bao Loc City will arrange forces, vehicles, equipment, and supplies in key areas to be ready to handle emergency situations, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property...
