On the evening of September 29, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Quang - Chairman of the People's Committee of Viet Vinh Commune said that the locality is urgently evacuating about 40 people in Thuong My village (about 500 meters from the landslide point at Km51 National Highway 2) to a safe place.

"It is currently raining heavily, some areas of Thuong My village are at risk of landslides, so people have been temporarily evacuated to cultural houses and schools.

The area to be relocated has just experienced flash floods so there is a very high risk of landslides," the leader added.
