On the morning of September 29, the Standing Office of the Quang Tri Provincial Civil Defense Command said that storm No. 10 had left 12 people missing and 1 person injured in the area.
According to the report, the missing victims include: Truong Thanh D (born in 2009, Kim Phu commune); 2 crew members on the BV-4670-TS ship (Ho Chi Minh City) that sank in Cua Viet commune; along with 9 crew members on the two fishing boats BV-92756-TS and BV-92754-TS that were swept away at Gianh port area.
In addition, Mr. Tran Van D (born in 1956, Bo Trach commune) was injured and is being treated at the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Hospital in Dong Hoi.
The authorities are urgently searching for missing victims, while mobilizing maximum human resources and means to respond to other emergency situations caused by storm No. 10.
