According to the report of the Ha Tinh Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue, due to the impact of storm No. 5, Ha Tinh province has recorded initial damage to people, property, agriculture and infrastructure.
Specifically, in Kim Hoa commune, 1 person died while repairing the roof, fell and did not survive despite being taken to the emergency room. In addition, 4 people were injured, of which Mai Phu commune had 2 people, Hoanh Son and Kim Hoa communes had 1 person each.
The whole province had 144 houses flooded, 621 houses had their roofs blown off. Some schools and educational institutions were also damaged and partially flooded.
Regarding agricultural production, 13,327 hectares of Summer-Autumn rice and 611.2 hectares of crops were flooded and damaged; 1,064 hectares of land for growing annual and perennial crops, 2,058 hectares of fruit trees, and 4,443 trees fell.
The aquaculture area was also affected with 6 hectares of shrimp farming damaged; 8.2 hectares of saltwater in Hai Ninh ward were filled with silt.
In terms of infrastructure, the storm broke 22 electric poles, 2 antlers and 2 cable poles.
Currently, localities are continuing to review and count the damage, and at the same time deploy solutions to overcome and stabilize people's lives after the storm.
