On November 12, the Management Board of Ca Mau Province's Traffic Construction Project officially issued a document requesting relevant agencies and units to propagate so that people do not enter or exit the area where the investment project to build a monument cluster commemorating the 1954 Northward train gathering trip in Song Doc (Tran Van Thoi district, Ca Mau province) is being implemented.
Currently, contractors are rushing to complete the project in time to hand over the site for the 70th anniversary of the Northward Regrouping (1954-2024) held on November 16, 2024.
However, through recent site inspections, out of curiosity, many people entered the construction site (overpass and event floor) of the project. Mostly in the evening, people gathered in large numbers.
Currently, contractors are mobilizing a lot of equipment and machinery (including overtime at night) for construction. This problem poses a potential risk to labor safety and traffic safety in the area where the project is being implemented. Although contractors have set up barriers at the entrances to the overpass, preventing people from entering the construction site without permission, many people still do not comply, and some people even use words and actions to threaten workers at the construction site.
Therefore, the Management Board of Traffic Construction Projects of Ca Mau province requested the People's Committee of Tran Van Thoi district to direct the People's Committee of Song Doc town and related units to coordinate with construction contractors to have a plan to ensure security and order in the project implementation area.
The Provincial Traffic Construction Project Management Board proposed a plan to arrange security officers to station at the construction site from now until November 16, 2024 to ensure labor safety and traffic safety in the construction area, while ensuring that the 70th anniversary of the North's regrouping event takes place safely and smoothly.
