Arrested a python weighing more than 6kg in a school

    Ha Tinh - The man who caught a python weighing more than 6kg handed it over to the authorities to release it to Vu Quang National Park.

    On November 17, Cam Binh Commune Police received a python (scientific name is Python bivittatus, belonging to Group IIB in the list of endangered and rare wild animals) weighing 6.2 kg handed over by Mr. Nguyen Van Hai (residing in Cam Binh Commune).

    After receiving the project, Cam Binh Commune Police coordinated with the Mobile Forest Ranger and Forest Fire Prevention and Fighting Team under the Ha Tinh Forest Ranger Department to hand it over to Vu Quang National Park officials for further monitoring and care before releasing it back into the natural environment.

    According to Mr. Nguyen Van Hai, the above-mentioned python was discovered and arrested by him in the grounds of Cam Binh High School (Cam Binh Commune).
