On the morning of March 12, the inspection delegation of the Election Steering Committee of Military Region 9 led by Major General Huynh Van Ngon, Deputy Political Commissar of the Military Region, came to inspect the preparation for the election of National Assembly deputies of the XVI term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026–2031 term at the Military Command (CHQS) of An Giang province.
The delegation was attended by Major General Huynh Chien Cong, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Military Region. Receiving and working with the delegation were heads of the Provincial Military Command and representatives of affiliated agencies and units.
According to a report by the An Giang Provincial Military Command, over the past time, the Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command have thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented the above directives and guidelines on election work; promptly issued a system of leadership and direction documents, and plans to organize strict implementation in accordance with regulations. Propaganda and education work has been promoted in many rich forms, ensuring that 100% of officers and soldiers in the provincial armed forces firmly grasp the meaning and importance of the election.

Regarding personnel work, the introduction of candidates for National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels is carried out in accordance with procedures, democratically, and publicly; closely coordinating with Party committees and local authorities in negotiating and collecting opinions from voters in their place of residence and workplace. The work of reviewing and compiling voter lists, establishing election teams, and preparing facilities and voting areas has been thoroughly implemented.
The Provincial Military Command has coordinated with the Police and functional forces to develop and supplement plans to protect security and safety before, during and after the election; strictly maintain combat readiness duty, firmly grasp the situation in the area, especially border areas and key areas, not to be passive or surprised in any situation. At the working session, the delegation also conducted direct inspections of some polling stations at the Provincial Military Command and combat readiness duty to protect security and safety before, during and after the election at the Rach Gia Ward Military Command.
Concluding the inspection, Major General Huynh Van Ngon acknowledged and highly appreciated the proactive and responsible spirit of the Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command of An Giang in the election preparation work. The comrade requested that in the coming time, the unit continue to promote propaganda and education to raise awareness for officers and soldiers; closely review all stages and steps in accordance with the law; closely coordinate with forces to ensure absolute security and safety in polling areas, contributing to the successful organization of the election of National Assembly deputies of the XVI term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026–2031 term in the province.
