On January 1st, leaders of Dien Ban Tay Commune People's Committee (Da Nang City) confirmed that people in the area had just discovered a baby boy about a few days old, abandoned in front of a resident's house with a handwritten letter.
At about 4 am on the same day, Mr. Bui Thanh Quoc's family (residing in Cam Van Bac village, Dien Ban Tay commune) suddenly discovered a baby boy abandoned in front of house number 43, DT609 street.

At the time of discovery, the baby was wrapped in a warm coat, with clothes placed in plastic bags. The baby boy weighed about 3.1kg and his health was stable.
Besides the baby, people also found a letter believed to be left by the mother. The letter reads: "Because of difficult circumstances, I cannot raise and take care of my newborn child, so I left it here. If any family picks it up, please raise it. I hope everyone and the government will not find me because I am from afar.

Immediately after receiving the news, local authorities were present to make a record of the incident in the presence of functional agencies. Currently, the baby boy is being temporarily cared for and nurtured by Mr. Quoc's family (a local resident).
Dien Ban Tay Commune People's Committee announced that anyone who is a relative of the child should contact the authorities to carry out procedures to receive it back. Within 7 days, if no relatives come to receive it, the commune will carry out procedures for birth registration and resolve the case according to the provisions of law.
