On the afternoon of October 7, Lao Dong reporter group recorded that the high tide continued to rise in Can Tho City. Low-lying areas, along rivers and canals continue to be flooded due to high tides, causing many obstacles for people's travel and daily activities.

In the Ninh Kieu Wharf area, many locations here are flooded. Rising water levels have partly affected the sightseeing and tourism activities of people and tourists.

Ms. Nguyen Truc Phuong (29 years old, a resident of Can Tho City) shared: "On the way home from work and picking up my child, I planned to take my child to Ben Ninh Kieu to play for a while but I couldn't wait because the water was flooding too fast. The rising water level caused my vehicle and some others to stall."
According to records in Binh Thuy Market area, businesses struggled to move goods and furniture to avoid being affected by water. Some households use protective measures to prevent water from flooding into their houses.


At around 5:30 p.m., many alleys in Can Tho City also began to be flooded. This is the time of disembarkation, so many workers have difficulty returning home.


According to the Can Tho City Hydrometeorological Station, in recent days, the water level at the Can Tho station on the Hau River has risen. Quickly update the situation, currently the peak tide has exceeded alarm level 3 (2m06 at 5:00 p.m.) and is still continuing; the trend is slowing down. According to the forecast tomorrow morning (October 8), the peak tide will continue to increase higher than today.
