Ninh Binh - A patient being treated at Ninh Binh General Hospital suddenly jumped from the 10th floor to the ground, dying on the spot.

The incident happened at around 11:45 a.m. on October 21 at the ENT department of Ninh Binh Provincial General Hospital.

The victim was identified as Mr. T.C.L, born in 1995 (residing in Dong Phong commune, Nho Quan district, Ninh Binh). Mr. L was hospitalized on October 18 and is currently receiving inpatient treatment at the ENT Department (10th floor) of Ninh Binh Provincial General Hospital.

According to a source from Lao Dong Newspaper, patient L had a history of mental illness and had an outpatient treatment record. On October 18, the patient hanged himself and was taken to Nho Quan District General Hospital for emergency treatment by his family, then transferred to Ninh Binh Provincial General Hospital.

When transferred to Ninh Binh General Hospital on October 18, the patient was diagnosed with wounds in the neck and trachea. Doctors here performed surgery to suture the wounds in the trachea and neck for the patient. After the wound was treated, the patient was transferred to the ENT department for inpatient treatment.

"The patient was determined to have a history of mental illness and was assessed to be at risk of suicide, so the doctors treating him here told the patient's family to closely monitor all of the patient's actions. At the same time, they asked the nurses in the department to monitor and watch the patient carefully. By noon today (October 21), the patient's health had stabilized, the patient was able to sit up and walk and suddenly jumped through the ventilation window of the hospital room and fell to the ground, killing him," a source from Lao Dong reported.
