To celebrate the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), on the morning of July 16, Mr. Duong Quoc Huy, Secretary of the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee, visited and presented gifts to policy families and people with meritorious services to the revolution in Lao Cai and Cam Duong wards.
Participating in the working delegation were Mr. Hoang Giang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and leaders of a number of departments, agencies, and units.
The delegation visited Heroic Vietnamese Mother Ly Seo Say in group 28, Cam Duong ward; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tan, wife of a martyr in group 22 Kim Tan, Lao Cai ward; and wounded soldier Tran Hung Thanh in group 18 Kim Tan, Lao Cai ward.

At the families, Provincial Party Secretary Duong Quoc Huy cordially inquired about the health and life, expressing deep gratitude for the sacrifices and contributions of heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, people with meritorious services and policy families to the cause of national liberation and defense.
Lao Cai Provincial Party Secretary affirmed that the Party, State and People always remember and cherish the great contributions of previous generations.
Visiting and giving gifts on the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day is an annual activity, showing the tradition of "When drinking water, remember the source" and the gratitude of the Party Committee, government, and people of Lao Cai province to those who have contributed and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation.
The comrade requested the Party committees and local authorities to continue to implement well the preferential policies for people with meritorious services, pay attention to caring for the material and spiritual life so that policy families have an increasingly better life.

At the same time, he wished the families to continue to promote revolutionary traditions, educate their children and grandchildren about patriotism and dedication, contributing to building an increasingly developed homeland.
