According to the People's Committee of Hiep Thanh commune, heavy rains in recent days have caused localized flooding in many areas. In particular, many vegetable areas of households in the commune have been completely damaged, unable to recover.
According to preliminary statistics, more than 200 hectares of crops and vegetables of all kinds in Hiep Thanh commune were damaged from 50 - 100%, with a total estimated damage of about 9 billion VND.
Heavy rain also caused landslides and damage to many traffic works. There is 1 underground culvert, 2 cement concrete roads and 1 crushed stone civil works.
The People's Committee of the commune has proposed that the province allocate about 1.3 billion VND to repair and prevent landslides and flooding at 4 key locations.
At Dinh An Kindergarten, floodwaters rose 40 - 60 cm, causing the school yard and warehouse to be flooded, many teaching equipment and toys were swept away. The commune has proposed supporting nearly 1.4 billion VND to raise the foundation, repair fences, garages and drainage systems.
On November 1, Mr. Y Thanh Ha Nie K dam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Lam Dong province directly visited, encouraged and presented gifts to 5 households that suffered heavy damage due to floods in Hiep Thanh commune.
At the destinations, Lam Dong Provincial Party Secretary Y Thanh Ha Nie kindly visited the lives and production situations of each household; shared the difficulties and property damage that people have to endure due to floods.
Mr. Y Thanh Ha Nie K dam sent gifts and encouraged people to strive to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, soon stabilize their lives and restore production. He also praised the proactive spirit of overcoming the consequences of local governments and people.
The visit and encouragement of the Provincial Party Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Y Thanh Ha Nie K dam and the provincial leaders demonstrated the deep concern of the Party Committee and government for the lives of people in disaster-affected areas. Thereby adding confidence, determination, and conditions for people to overcome difficulties, restore production and stabilize their lives.

According to the Lam Dong Provincial Civil Defense Command, the whole province has 24 communes and wards reporting on the damage caused by natural disasters.
Floods have killed 2 people, 3,972 houses were flooded or damaged and 7,313.5 hectares of crops were damaged, causing a total damage of about 87.28 billion VND.
Currently, localities are continuing to review, count and summarize the damage. In the coming time, the Provincial Civil Defense Command will urge, summarize the situation of impact and damage caused by natural disasters, and report to the Provincial People's Committee.
During the days of natural disasters, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, the Civil Defense Command, the Provincial Police, the Provincial Military Command and the Departments of Agriculture and Environment organized direct inspection teams to direct the overcoming of the consequences.
Currently, the leaders of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee are directly directing the work of overcoming, visiting and giving gifts to support people in difficulty.
