Attending and encouraging new recruits to enlist were Mr. Duong Quoc Huy - Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee, leaders of the Provincial Military Command, Provincial Police, Provincial Veterans Association; representatives of receiving units and a large number of people to see their children off to perform their sacred duty to the Fatherland.
At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced the Decision of the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee on assigning enlistment targets for 2026. Accordingly, new recruits at the number 7 troop receiving point are transferred to many units such as: Political Officer School; Brigade 144 (General Staff); Brigade 297 (Military Region 2); Regiment 66 (Division 304); Regiment 254 (Provincial Military Command); Regiment 98 (Division 316); Regiment 752 (Division 355) and Provincial Police.
These are all units with tradition in training, combat readiness, creating an environment for young people to train and grow up.
After the flag salute ceremony, traditional fire lighting and drumming ceremony, leaders of Lao Cai province gave encouragement speeches, wishing each young person to deeply understand their responsibility to their homeland and country; promote revolutionary traditions, strive to study and train, maintain political bravery, strictly comply with the discipline of the Army and People's Police, and excellently complete all assigned tasks.
In recent years, the work of selecting and calling citizens to enlist in Lao Cai province has always achieved 100% of the target; the quality of young people enlisting has been gradually improved. Many soldiers during their service have strived to become party members, cadres, and officers; after completing their duties and returning to their localities, they continue to promote the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", actively working and producing, and building their homeland.
Representatives of new recruits spoke, expressing pride and promising to try their best to excellently complete all tasks in the military environment.
Immediately after the ceremony, Lao Cai Provincial Party Secretary Duong Quoc Huy and delegates presented flowers and encouraged the new recruits passing through the "Picture Bridge", getting on the bus to return to the new unit amidst the bustling festival drums and the warm hugs of relatives.
