On June 8, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Nghe An Provincial National Assembly Delegation, delegate of the 19th Provincial People's Council and delegates of the Provincial People's Council met with voters in Truong Vinh ward before the regular meeting in mid-2026 of the Nghe An Provincial People's Council.
Also attending were delegates of the People's Council of Nghe An province including: Mr. Phan Duc Dong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Truong Vinh ward; Mr. Le Van Giap - Chief of Office of the Provincial Party Committee; Ms. Ho Thi Thuy Trang - Director of Nghe An Telecommunications; Mr. Nguyen Ky Thanh - Specialized member of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council.
At the conference, delegates of the Provincial People's Council informed voters of Truong Vinh ward about the socio-economic situation of the province and the ward in the first 6 months of the year, tasks for the last 6 months of 2026; and at the same time reported on the results of summarizing and resolving voters' opinions and recommendations.
Voters in Truong Vinh ward reflected that Ben Thuy pumping station is overloaded, operating ineffectively, causing heavy flooding when there are heavy rains. Voters proposed increasing the capacity of the drainage pumping station, equipping backup pumps, expanding and dredging water tanks to increase regulation capacity.
Another content reflected by voters is the situation of insecurity and disorder, noise and environmental pollution in the area of ditch No. 2, Nguyen Tai street. According to voters, many restaurants providing food services in this area affect people's lives, and have been petitioned many times but have not been resolved definitively.
Voters also proposed to soon resolve issues related to Coc Soi collective area, Vinaconex collective area; upgrade, expand, and renovate Nguyen Viet Xuan, Nguyen Thiep, Nguyen Du, Tran Phu streets and Nguyen Tat Thanh park; and maintain the health station in Hung Hoa cluster.
In addition, people proposed to soon supply cement to upgrade roads in residential areas; have solutions to arrange reasonable parking spaces for cars, especially in apartment buildings and key roads to limit traffic congestion; upgrade the degraded cultural house; overcome damage and flooding at Quan Lau market.
Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Nghe An Provincial National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Khac Than emphasized the key tasks in June and the last 6 months of 2026. At the same time, he requested Party committees, authorities, voters and people to continue to agree, unify, and strive with the political system to complete the set goals and tasks.
Regarding voters' petitions, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than requested Truong Vinh ward to seriously receive them, implement them drastically, and resolve them thoroughly soon, so as not to let voters have to petition many times, affecting the legitimate rights of the people.
The Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee also requested that issues under the responsibility of the province, departments, and sectors must be studied and advised on timely and regulated solutions.
Mr. Nguyen Khac Than highly appreciated the heartfelt and responsible opinions of voters in Truong Vinh ward; and at the same time received, explained, and exchanged some contents. In which, the Provincial Party Committee assigned the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee to direct the Provincial People's Committee to build and implement a project to renovate, upgrade, and embellish the city, especially on roads, parks, and squares.
