On June 4, Mr. Tran Van Lau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Vinh Long province - and the working delegation came to survey the model of producing high-tech tissue culture seedlings at ViGen Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Cho Lach commune, Vinh Long province.
At the survey, business leaders introduced the seedling production process using in vitro tissue culture technology in a closed sterile environment. This is a direction to apply high technology to create a uniform, disease-free seedling source and meet market demand.

The production of seedlings and ornamental flowers is currently identified as one of the advantageous industries, bringing high economic value to the province. This activity is concentrated in localities such as Cho Lach, Vinh Thanh, Hung Khanh Trung, Phu Phung and Long Duc ward.
By 2025, the area of nursery of perennial plants and ornamental flowers in the province will reach about 3,497ha, with more than 8,155 households participating in production. Many key varieties such as durian, jackfruit, coconut, grapefruit, longan, rambutan, plum, guava, king orange and rice are widely supplied throughout the country.
Along with the development of production, the provincial agricultural sector has strengthened the management of seed quality. To date, the locality has recognized 190 first-line trees, 1,021 first-line gardens and many mother gardens serving breeding work.

According to the development orientation, the province continues to build large-scale seedling and ornamental plant production areas associated with consumption linkages, improving product value and gradually expanding export markets, contributing to the development of ecological agriculture and improving people's incomes.
Speaking at the survey, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Van Lau highly appreciated the enterprise's investment in modern tissue culture technology, and at the same time requested ViGen Company to continue researching and developing crop varieties adapting to climate change, meeting the production needs of the locality.
The Provincial Party Secretary also reminded businesses to promote brand building, product traceability, and strengthen links with cooperatives in plant seed production and supply. At the same time, continue to expand investment scale, aiming to become a high-tech plant seed center of the province in the coming time.
