On January 9, in Hoang Hoa Tham commune, Hung Yen province, the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to organize the handover and reception ceremony of the headquarters of the Center for Training and Capacity Development for Peacekeeping of the Ministry of Public Security.
The handover and reception of the headquarters of the University of Water Resources - Pho Hien campus is carried out according to Decision No. 5500/QD-BNNMT dated December 18, 2025 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, with a total area of 57 hectares. This is a large, synchronous, closed infrastructure, meeting the requirements of organizing centralized and long-term training for peacekeeping forces according to UN standards.
The reception and commissioning of the Center's headquarters both meets the needs of facilities and demonstrates a new development in the Ministry of Public Security's international integration strategy, participating in peacekeeping activities in a methodical, professional and sustainable manner.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung - Deputy Minister of Public Security emphasized that participating in United Nations peacekeeping operations is a major and consistent policy of the Party and State and an important political task of the People's Public Security Forces. From 2022 to now, the People's Public Security Forces have made outstanding progress.
The Peacekeeping Police unit has matured in organization, capacity and international prestige. The Ministry of Public Security is currently deploying 6 working groups at the United Nations missions in South Sudan, Abyei, Central African Republic and the United Nations headquarters in New York, and is expected to deploy working group No. 7 in UNISFA, Abyei in January 2026.

Deputy Minister Pham The Tung affirmed that the reception of the Center's headquarters is a long-term strategic milestone, creating a foundation for building a elite, regular, modern peacekeeping force, working independently, adapting to the multicultural international environment, contributing to protecting the Fatherland from early and far.
Deputy Minister Pham The Tung also highly appreciated the slogan "Most disciplined - Most loyal - Closest to the people" at the Center gate, emphasizing that the peacekeeping force must pioneer in implementing this spirit in each task, worthy of being a leading unit, exemplary in the "Three Most" emulation movement.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Hoang Hiep said that Pho Hien facility is 57 hectares wide with a lecture hall system of more than 66,000 m2, dormitories, stadiums and synchronous auxiliary works, is a pioneering project of the "University City" model in Hung Yen. Through surveys, the Ministry of Public Security assessed that Pho Hien is suitable for building a peacekeeping force training center according to international standards, meeting the strict requirements of the United Nations.
Based on the proposal of the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment determined that the transfer of this facility is an important political task, contributing to ensuring national security and enhancing Vietnam's prestige in the international arena.
