
The training course opened in Hai Phong on the morning of April 9, with funding from the European Union (EU). This is an important step in the energy saving process at industrial enterprises in Vietnam, under the IEEP Project.
At the opening ceremony, Ms. Pham Thi Nga - technical consultant of IEEP Project - on behalf of the Organizing Committee gave a congratulatory speech to trainees from industrial enterprises. In her speech, she also emphasized the need for energy saving in the context of the global face facing many challenges. Training and applying an energy management system according to ISO 5,0001 standards not only helps reduce production costs, improve competitiveness, and improve business efficiency, but also contributes to environmental protection and ensuring national energy security.
The course's lecturers are leading experts in the field of ISO management systems, ensuring the highest training quality for students.

The course attracted 65 students from the provinces: Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Ha Tinh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam, Thai Binh...
The 2-day training course equips managers and technical staff with the necessary knowledge and skills to build and deploy an energy management system at enterprises representing the target industries of the Project such as: Paper and paper powder, Food processing, Rubber processing, beverages, textiles, chemicals and fertilizers, metal alloyards and steel, plastic, cement, seafood.

The course content is built on the UNIDO Training Development Framework, including topics such as an overview of the energy system, energy planning and policy, energy data collection and analysis, as well as implementation plans.
Through the training course, students can:
- Understand the energy management system: Grasp the system's components according to ISO 5,0001 standards and clearly understand the benefits that the system brings.
- The ability to report and propose: present the benefits of system implementation to business leaders and effectively interact in development plans.
- Deploy and continuously improve: Provide necessary knowledge to be able to start building and implementing an energy management system or implementing improvements in the process.
