On the morning of September 13, officers, teachers and students of the canoe driving training class organized by the Da Nang City Military Command promptly rescued a young man in distress on the Han River.
At about 8:10 am on the same day, when the training class was practicing canoe control in the Han River Port area, the unit received a report from people about a young man showing signs of drowning near Thuan Phuoc bridge.
Immediately, teachers and students controlled the mobile canoe to the scene. After approaching the victim, officers and soldiers quickly deployed rescue, brought the young man onto the canoe safely and gave initial first aid.
The victim was then coordinated to be handed over to his family and emergency forces, and taken to a medical facility for continued monitoring and treatment.
