The Ho Chi Minh road project section Cho Chu (Thai Nguyen) - Trung Son intersection (Tuyen Quang) nearly 29km long was started in June 2024 with a total investment of more than 1,600 billion VND. In which, the section through Tuyen Quang province is about 17.1km with a total land acquisition area of nearly 81ha, compensation and site clearance (GPMB) costs of more than 250 billion VND.
Recorded at the end of March 2025, 2 resettlement areas serving site clearance for the project section passing through Tuyen Quang province, including the resettlement area of Trung Son commune and the resettlement area of Hung Loi commune, are both under construction.
In the resettlement area of Hung Loi commune, which provides accommodation for 73 households whose land has been recovered, up to now, the ground leveling, internal traffic roads, drainage system have reached nearly 90%, and the domestic water supply system is about to be completed. The domestic electricity system has not been constructed.

It is expected that on March 30, 2026, functional agencies will hand over land in Hung Loi resettlement area to 67/73 households. For households whose land is recovered for project implementation, the early completion of resettlement areas will also help their lives stabilize soon.
Ms. Hoang Thi Lien (Hung Loi commune) said that her family completely supports the policy of building this road, so they proactively handed over the site early.
I hope the project will be completed soon, with a new big and beautiful road, making travel more convenient. Now, I am preparing to build a new house in the resettlement area to live in, the infrastructure is completed, and living conditions here are also better than before," Ms. Lien shared.
Meanwhile, in the resettlement area of Trung Son commune, the construction progress has not met the set requirements, the volume of leveling and excavation has only reached 70%, and many road and electricity and water items have not been constructed. Currently, land has only been allocated to 3 households.

According to the Project Management Board of Construction Works No. 01 of Tuyen Quang province, up to now, there are still 11 households in 2 communes Hung Loi and Trung Son who have not received compensation money, have not handed over land for moving houses and architectural structures and assets on land.
This has affected the progress of construction and construction of items in resettlement areas as well as land allocation and housing construction for people.
Inspecting the progress of this project, Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan - Standing Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee - requested the investor to closely coordinate with relevant agencies to focus on definitively resolving problems related to compensation policies for households.
Construction contractors are required to increase manpower, machinery, and accelerate construction progress. Urgently complete to hand over land to affected families to build houses and stabilize their lives.
