Provincial Chairman declares war on counterfeit goods
On June 4, the Office of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province announced that the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee decided to establish a Working Group to deploy a peak period to fight against and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights in the province (Work Group).
The working group was personally carried out by the Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee. The deputy groups include: Mr. Lam Van Bi - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of Steering Committee of 389 provinces, Standing Deputy Head; Mr. Nguyen Chi Thien - Director of Department of Industry and Trade; Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh - Director of Department of Finance; Mr. Pham Minh Luy - Deputy Director of the Provincial Public Security; Mr. Chau Cong Bang - Deputy Director of Department of Agriculture and Environment; Mr. Nguyen Van Ngoc - Deputy Commander of the Provincial Border Guard Command and 20 members representing departments, branches, units and localities in the province.

The task of the Working Group is to direct, inspect, urge departments, branches, People's Committees of districts and cities of Ca Mau, and functional forces to direct the inspection and recommend handling of organizations and individuals who lack a sense of responsibility, are negative, loose in management, assist in smuggling, trade fraud, production, and trading of counterfeit goods, and violate intellectual property rights.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province requested provincial departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of districts and cities of Ca Mau, and relevant functional forces to provide information on the situation and results of combating smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in the area, management areas, and documents on violations when necessary.
Conduct a summary and evaluation of the implementation of the Official Dispatch, propose to the Provincial People's Committee directions and solutions to solve important, inter-sectoral problems to improve the effectiveness of the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods; report to the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation results.

Tightening management of agricultural supplies and fertilizers
Bac Lieu province has more than 250 establishments selling fertilizers and pesticides. Recently, there have been cases of farmers reporting (through the Department Inspectorate's hotline) about the appearance of poor quality agricultural and aquatic materials, no value of use, and no advertised uses.

During the inspection, 3/23 establishments were found to be violating administrative procedures; violating product labels and expired goods.
Regarding the quality of goods, the inspection team took 14 samples to check the quality of goods displayed and traded at 10 establishments trading in agricultural and aquatic materials. The inspection results showed that half of the fertilizer samples did not meet the quality requirements.
Inspectorate of the Department of Agriculture and Environment has conducted many inspections of businesses, establishments and individuals producing and trading fertilizers and plant protection drugs. Comprehensive review of business registration, investment, business conditions, operating licenses, announcing conformity and standard conformity; Focus on inspecting, investigating and verifying complicated and prominent cases to rectify and strictly handle organizations and individuals that commit acts of production and trading of fertilizer, fake, poor quality, smuggled and unknown pesticides.
