Information from the Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) on January 28 said that it has prepared plans to ensure safe and stable power supply to serve people to enjoy Spring and welcome the Lunar New Year 2025. Accordingly, EVNSPC will organize about 15,000 shifts to operate, repair electricity, and take care of customers 24/7 throughout the Tet holiday, from January 25 to February 2 (from December 25 to the 5th day of Tet).
In 21 southern provinces and cities, EVNSPC member Power Companies have also inspected and strengthened the power grid; established and implemented plans and solutions to ensure safe, continuous and reliable power supply for electricity customers and locations of political, cultural and artistic activities during the holidays. In particular, special attention is paid to ensuring power for important locations such as the headquarters of the Party, State, Government, National Assembly, national defense and security agencies, leadership agencies in provinces and cities, central and local radio and television agencies, hospitals, clean water production facilities, and locations of political, cultural and artistic activities.
During the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday, EVNSPC will not cut off power to customers, except in case of troubleshooting.
EVNSPC also focuses on ensuring safety and preventing electrical incidents, fires and explosions caused by the power grid in public places, residential areas and entertainment areas during the Lunar New Year.
Previously, electricity units coordinated with local authorities to inspect and provide guidance on safety measures to prevent fires and explosions caused by electricity use in daily life, in areas with high population density.
Power companies are on duty 24/7, fully preparing materials, equipment, communication systems and means of transport, ready to quickly handle any problems that arise...; SCADA Operation Center organizes leaders and staff to operate to serve power supply operations and related tasks to ensure stable and continuous operation of the SCADA system; EVNSPC Customer Care Center also operates 24/7 throughout the holiday, ready to receive and support customer requests during the Tet holiday.

Southern Power Corporation recommends that all electricity customers and people: Avoid gathering in large crowds, do not set up tents or stalls to sell goods on power poles and near power stations; Do not shoot fireworks, firecrackers, fly kites, sky lanterns, flying toys, fishing near power lines or throwing anything at power lines or power stations; Do not hang billboards, flags, banners, flashing lights and other objects on power poles; Do not set up poles near the safety corridor of high-voltage power grid works; Do not hook up electricity directly on the power line for use and do not arbitrarily pull wires to the festival area to light up, do business in violation of regulations, causing short circuits, and unsafety.
