At the National Achievement Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) opened on the morning of August 28, Viettel Group demonstrated 50 civil and military technology products.
In which, many products belong to national strategic technology groups such as new-generation telecommunications networks, semiconductor chips, robots, cyber security and aerospace.
A notable product in the group of civil products is the ITS smart traffic camera researched and developed by Viettel.
Information from Viettel said that Viettel Flagship Camera is a high-speed smart camera line, equipped with the most advanced technologies to bring superior features and performance.
This type of camera has the main feature of AI processing for the ability to classify vehicles, recognize license plates, detect traffic violations, and monitor real-time visual traffic situations.
The camera can take clear images of the vehicle moving at a speed of up to 250km/h, connecting widely with 4G/5G.
This type of camera can be used to support traffic status analysis, improve traffic flow, and increase safety on all routes.
This smart product can become a powerful arm for the traffic police force in monitoring, commanding traffic operations to serve security and order and handling administrative violations...

Will increase investment in installing cameras for fines
Regarding this field, one of the notable contents in Resolution No. 76/NQ-CP dated April 10, 2025, the Government assigned the Ministry of Public Security to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Construction and People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities to accelerate the development and implementation of information technology applications to serve the management, inspection and handling of violations in driving license testing.
Invest in installing surveillance cameras, traffic control commands to serve security and order and handle administrative violations; modernize traffic command centers.
It is known that previously, the Ministry of Public Security informed that currently nationwide, the number of devices for monitoring and detecting traffic violations (cold fines cameras) includes: 2,906 cameras.
Of which, the number of systems invested from 2020 to present is 79 systems (1,526 cameras), the number of systems invested from 2019 and earlier: 67 systems (1,630 cameras).
