Considering the proposal of the Department of Construction on implementing fines to handle administrative violations in the field of road traffic, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong assigned the City Police to organize the handling of violations of the law on road traffic safety and order using the first phase of cameras at 10 qualified intersections from March 19.
Based on the results of the first phase of operation, the City Police proactively coordinated with the Department of Construction to validate, establish a system, and organize the handling of violations using cameras at all 33 intersections. Thereby, report to the Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security to carry out related procedures and processes to handle violations using cameras in accordance with regulations.
The Department of Construction shall preside over and work with relevant agencies and units to urgently complete the items in the Plan of the City People's Committee approving the Plan for hiring information technology services for the task of "Improving the capacity of traffic management and operation centers, smart cities"; review and complete the system of signs, painting lines, and traffic signals at 33 intersections to ensure compliance with regulations.
The Department of Construction coordinated with the City Police to verify and establish a system to serve the handling of violations using cameras at all 33 intersections, to be completed before March 31.
