This is one of the three largest general surveys and statistics, organized on a 10-year cycle, to collect comprehensive information on agriculture, forestry, fishery and the current situation of rural development.
The subjects of the investigation include: workers, households, farms, enterprises, cooperatives participating in agricultural, forestry and fishery activities. The general investigation will be conducted using the comprehensive investigation method combined with sample selection investigation, information collection through direct interviews and indirect collection from investigation units.
According to Mr. Dau Thanh Tung - Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, the 2025 rural and agricultural census will play a very important role in planning and implementing socio-economic development policies in the locality, especially in the context of implementing the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units and implementing the 2-level local government model.
The investigation information will help Party committees and authorities have a complete and realistic view of the current situation of production, infrastructure, and rural population life, as a basis for developing regional development strategies, developing agricultural production, building new rural areas, improving people's lives and ensuring sustainable social security.
To effectively carry out the above important tasks, in the past time, Thanh Hoa province has deployed preparations for the general investigation. Specifically: The Steering Committees for General Investigation at all levels have been consolidated, assigned clear tasks; developed detailed plans; the work of making statements, field inspections, selecting investigators and supervisors has been carried out very closely" - Mr. Tung emphasized.
According to the Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, after the launching ceremony, localities and units in the province are urgently deploying the organization and collection of information to ensure completeness, accuracy, timeliness, no overlap, no omission; at the same time, always confidentiality information collected from investigation units according to the provisions of the Statistics Law. In addition, it will promote propaganda and dissemination widely to the people about the meaning, purpose and importance of the census.
