On July 2, a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper returned to the construction site of the Tam Trinh road expansion project in Tuong Mai and Hoang Mai wards, Hanoi (Yen So, Mai Dong, Hoang Van Thu wards, old Hoang Mai district).
It is noted that the project has not had many significant changes compared to a few months ago.
The site on the route is not handed over seamlessly, currently the longest section is about 300m, from the bridge over the Kim Nguu River to lane 587 Tam Trinh Street.
At this section, the road expansion is still unfinished, with a mess of construction materials. Some locations are flooded, making it difficult for people around to travel. The technical infrastructure on the route has not been relocated...

According to records, most of the households living along the route have not yet handed over the land, interspersed with demolished houses. On the right side of the route, the contractor has basically completed the embankment along the Kim Nguu River.
In reality, the site clearance work for the Tam Trinh road expansion project has been delayed many times and by the time of operating the local government model, this work has not shown any signs of progress.

Mr. Le Huy's family has been attached to the house on Tam Trinh Street since the 1990s and sells small-scale household items. Recently, he saw the authorities constructing the road expansion, many houses have been demolished. However, what worries him is that the compensation level does not accurately reflect the current real estate value.
The compensation price is too low, while the market is now completely different. Many people after receiving the money still do not know how to cope to find a new place to live and continue doing business," said Mr. Huy.

The Tam Trinh road expansion project is 3.5 km long, starting at Minh Khai intersection and ending at Ring Road 3 intersection, with a total investment of nearly VND3,400 billion.
To implement the project, 54,000m2 of land must be reclaimed, involving about 1,590 households and 20 organizations.
The project started in 2016 and is expected to be completed after 3 years. However, due to many difficulties in site clearance, the project has been stalled.
In July 2024, the locality handed over about 800 m of clean land to the contractor to implement the expansion of Tam Trinh road.

According to the authorities, the Tam Trinh road expansion project has completed the investigation and preparation of documents to carry out site clearance for the remaining households.
According to the plan in the fourth quarter of this year, the site clearance work will be basically completed, the overall project will be completed and opened to traffic in the second quarter of 2026.
