The Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project through Tay Ninh province (formerly in Long An) is 6.84 km long, with a total investment of VND3,040 billion. Phase 1 will build 4 lanes for expressways with a design speed of 100 km/h, with parallel roads on both sides at a speed of 60 km/h.

This is one of the main sections of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project, a national key traffic project, with a total length of more than 76 km, passing through Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai and Tay Ninh. When completed, this route, along with the two expressways Ben Luc - Long Thanh and Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong, will form a traffic axis surrounding Ho Chi Minh City, helping to limit vehicles passing through the inner city, shorten travel time, reduce logistics costs, promote regional linkages and develop the economy of the Southern region.

The section through Tay Ninh includes 9 construction packages, including 3 main packages: XL1 for the construction of the expressway, XL2 for the construction of a river overpass and a overpass, and XL3 for the construction of an intersection at the end of the route connecting to the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway. According to the Tay Ninh Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, by the end of September, all major packages had ensured progress, reaching 82% of the contract value. The project is expected to be completed by the end of this year and put into operation from next year.

To ensure progress according to the Prime Minister's direction, construction units have mobilized more than 150 workers and equipment to work continuously from early morning to late evening, focusing on completing the road surface and sidewalks, striving to hand over all by December 31.
Despite prolonged rain, contractors are still maintaining many construction teams simultaneously, urgently deploying items such as embankment construction, guardrails, and completing the drainage system. Dozens of traffic signs have also been gathered waiting to be installed.

On the main route, many sections of the XL1 package through Luong Hoa commune (Tay Ninh) have been paved with asphalt for kilometers. Workers are driving the roadbed and working all day, ensuring the progress to the finish line on schedule. In the XL2 package, the Tan Buu overpass through the Tan Long intersection has completed the bridge deck, railings and is waiting for asphalt concrete pavement. The overpass and the parallel bridge across Cho Dem River have also been closed, dozens of workers are constructing the steel reinforcement of the bridge deck.

The XL3 package - the intersection with Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway - has currently reached more than 80% of the volume, of which the Ring Road 3 overpass has been paved with asphalt concrete and handed over to VEC for temporary traffic. The entire project is being accelerated by the units, aiming to complete on schedule and put into operation in 2026.
