In recent days, the Can Tho City Public Administration Service Center has recorded a sudden increase in the number of people coming to do procedures for granting and exchanging driving licenses. In that situation, the Traffic Police (CSGT) of Can Tho City Police has increased support and guidance, helping people complete procedures quickly and conveniently.
Mr. Huynh Tan (Binh Thuy District, Can Tho City) said that he was satisfied with the service at the Center. Although there are many people coming to issue and change driving licenses, the traffic police officers provide enthusiastic guidance, the procedures are quite simple and quick.

At the center, officers have proactively classified and provided specific instructions to people right from the receipt and pressing of the serial number. In cases where the driving license is not valid, it is recommended not to change it to avoid wasting time. For the expiring driving license, people are given priority to get a security number to resolve in advance.
Many people think that dividing time and order from the beginning is very convenient for people, helping to avoid the situation of waiting a long time without receiving documents.
Lieutenant Colonel Le Thai Hoa - Captain of the Road Mechanical License Examination and Issuance Team (Traffic Police Department of Can Tho City Police) - informed that on average, the team handles hundreds of cases of granting and exchanging driving licenses every day. To reduce the burden on the Center and avoid the situation where people have to wait too long, the Traffic Police recommend that this procedure should only be carried out when it is really necessary such as when the driving license is torn, lost or about to expire (1 month).

Current process, after receiving complete documents, within 5 working days, people will receive the results and the driving license information will be updated directly by the traffic police on VNeID. Therefore, people should rest assured, when the driving license is about to expire, they should come and get it issued and changed, Lieutenant Colonel Le Thai Hoa emphasized.
To meet the needs of the people, the Traffic Police Department of Can Tho City Police has announced the receipt, settlement of granting and exchanging driving licenses every Saturday morning at the Can Tho City Public Administration Service Center (No. 109, Nguyen Trai Street, Tan An Ward, Ninh Kieu District).
The increased support and expansion of working hours of the Traffic Police force has contributed to reducing the pressure on the Public Administration Service Center, while creating favorable conditions for people in carrying out procedures for granting and exchanging driving licenses.

Previously, on the first day of operation under the new organizational model (March 3), Major General Nguyen Van Thuan - Director of Can Tho City Police - directly inspected the City Public Administration Service Center, carefully checked the process of receiving and handling administrative procedures related to testing, issuing driving licenses and issuing judicial records.
According to Major General Nguyen Van Thuan, the implementation of the new organizational model requires a high sense of responsibility of each officer and soldier. He requested units to tighten discipline and administrative discipline, ensure the process of receiving and processing documents in a public and transparent manner, shorten processing time but still comply with legal regulations.
