The Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee has signed and issued Official Dispatch No. 4886/UBND-KT on approving the implementation of prepayment of September 2026 salaries for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and laborers and September 2026 allowances for policy beneficiaries, people with meritorious services, retirees, and social protection in the city in August 2026.
The payment is made according to the proposal of the Can Tho City Department of Finance, in order to create conditions for officials, civil servants, public employees, employees of administrative and non-business units and retirees and social assistance beneficiaries to have conditions to celebrate with their families on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Accordingly, units implement the pre-payment of September salary as mentioned. In case cadres, civil servants, public employees, and employees have retirement decisions, resignation decisions according to decisions of competent authorities from September 1, 2026, they are not allowed to receive September salary in September 2026 in this August.
Regarding the source of funding for implementation, for city-level estimated units, the withdrawal of funds for salary payments and salary-related items of September 2026 in August 2026 is implemented based on the 2026 expenditure estimate assigned by competent authorities; group 1 and group 2 public non-business units use the unit's financial resources for implementation.
For the People's Committees of communes and wards, in case the commune-level budget fund is not guaranteed to ensure the implementation of salary, allowance and contributions for September 2026 in August 2026, it is allowed to withdraw the supplementary balance from the city-level budget for the commune-level budget in September 2026 in August 2026.
Subsidies and preferential allowances for people with meritorious services to the revolution are paid from the policy implementation funds assigned to communes and wards.
Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance, State Treasury of Region XIX and relevant agencies, units, and localities to implement according to regulations.
