Can Tho - The estimated funding to support non-specialized workers in hamlets and areas who quit their jobs when consolidating staff in the city is more than 47 billion VND.

The People's Committee (UBND) of Can Tho City (TP) has submitted a report to the People's Council (HĐND) of the City drafting a resolution regulating support policies for non-specialized workers in hamlets and areas who quit their jobs immediately after restructuring and consolidating the team in the city.

Accordingly, the subjects of application are non-specialized workers in hamlets and areas not eligible for resignation due to rearrangement and reorganization of hamlets and areas according to Decree No. 185/2026/ND-CP; who do not meet the conditions and standards as prescribed and resign immediately according to the decision of the competent authority from July 1, 2026.

At the same time, the policy in this resolution is not applied to people who have enjoyed regimes and policies due to the arrangement and reorganization of hamlets and areas according to the Government's regulations on streamlining staff or have been granted allowances and one-time support for the same working period.

The one-time support level is calculated according to the principle that each year of work is entitled to support equal to 1 month of monthly allowance currently enjoyed. The source of funding for implementation is guaranteed by the local budget.

The appendix attached to this submission also shows that Can Tho City has 822 cases eligible for dismissal immediately after restructuring and consolidating to improve the quality of the staff. The total estimated cost of payment is more than 47 billion VND.

Notably, in the personnel list, there is a person who has worked for 43.5 years with an expected support level of up to 213.75 million VND.

According to the plan, the People's Council of Can Tho City will hold the fifth session (specialized session) tomorrow (August 25).
