Recently, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Nguyen Thuc Hien inspected the construction progress of the Provincial Road 918 - Provincial Road 918 Project (phase 2).
At the inspection, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Nguyen Thuc Hien emphasized that the Provincial Road 918 project is a key project of the city, playing a role in connecting and developing localities in both urban and suburban areas.

Therefore, the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City requested that all levels, functional sectors, especially localities benefiting from the project, need to strengthen compensation and site clearance to hand over to the construction unit.
The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City requested the Can Tho City Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor) to closely coordinate with localities. The goal is to strengthen supervision and urge construction units to focus on human resources and means to speed up construction progress.
In particular, urgently urge specialized units to relocate technical infrastructure (electricity, water) to hand over clean land to the construction unit.
The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City also noted that localities should be more determined, not allowing site clearance to affect the implementation progress; especially increasing propaganda and mobilizing the remaining households to receive compensation for damage, resettlement land, and early handover of the site.

The Provincial Road 918 project was approved by the City People's Committee in Decision No. 3664 with a total investment of VND 700,150 billion and approved for project adjustment in Decision No. 2874 with a total investment of up to VND 877,891 billion.
The project passes through Binh Thuy and Phong Dien districts, with a total length of 6.27km, the total reclaimed land area is 17.37ha. There are 289 households and units affected by the project, of which 274 cases have been approved for compensation plans, with a value of VND 274.427/295.364 billion, the rest have not been approved for 15 cases with a value of about VND 20.937 billion. Thereby, the authorities have paid 258/274 cases with a value of VND 252.384 billion, the remaining 16 cases have not been paid with a value of about VND 17.439 billion.
