Can Tho supports the highest vocational training cost of nearly 6 million VND/person

Can Tho - People with disabilities, poor households, near-poor households and rural workers are supported with vocational training costs.

Can Tho City People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 134 approving 115 lists of occupations and cost norms for supporting vocational training at the primary level and regular training (under 3 months) for workers in the area, in the period 2026 - 2030.

According to the Decision, the list of approved professions includes the agricultural and non-agricultural sectors. In the agricultural sector, training professions focus on animal husbandry, veterinary medicine, cultivation, aquaculture, safe vegetable cultivation, fruit tree cultivation, mushroom cultivation, rice cultivation, ornamental flowers, etc.

For non-agricultural sectors, including technical - technology, mechanical, electric - refrigeration, garment, food processing, tourism services, restaurants, hotels, information technology, graphic design, communication, performing arts, equipment operation, repair of automobiles, construction motorbikes, handicraft weaving, etc.

The Decision also clearly stipulates the scope of adjustment; subjects, principles, and conditions of support; levels of support for training costs, levels of support for food, travel, planning and organizing ordering, assigning training tasks, and implementing training support policies for learners are implemented in accordance with current legal regulations.

Accordingly, for people with disabilities, the highest level of support is 5,996,000 VND/person/course depending on field, level, time and training program.

People belonging to poor ethnic minority households; people belonging to poor households in communes, villages, and hamlets in particularly difficult circumstances, the highest level of support is up to 3,994,000 VND/person/course depending on the field, level of education, time and training program.

Ethnic minorities, people eligible for preferential policies for people with meritorious services to the revolution according to the Ordinance on preferential treatment for people with meritorious services to the revolution, poor households according to the Prime Minister's regulations, households whose agricultural land and business land are recovered, the highest level of support is 2,997,000 VND/person/course depending on field, level, time and training program.

For people living in near-poor households, the highest level of support is 2,449,000 VND/person/course depending on field, level, time and training program.

People subject to different levels of support, the highest level is 2,000,000 VND/person/course depending on field, level, time and training program.

Supporting contents include classroom organization costs, teacher remuneration, practical materials, equipment rental, classroom management and other legal expenses as prescribed.
