On January 15, the Can Tho City Labor Federation (LDLD) organized the first Conference of the Executive Committee of the City LDLD (I term), term 2025-2030.
The conference presented draft regulations including the operating regulations of the Executive Committee (EC), Standing Committee, Standing Committee of the Can Tho City Labor Federation (term I), term 2025 - 2030; announcing the assignment of tasks to Executive Committee members, Standing Committee members of the City Labor Federation; full-term working program of the Executive Committee of the City Labor Federation; announcing the assignment of direction and emulation clusters of the City Labor Federation; Working regulations of the City Labor Federation Inspection Committee; inspection and supervision program of the City Labor Federation Inspection Committee.....
At the conference, participating delegates expressed their unity and contributed many constructive opinions to complete the drafts, contributing to improving the effectiveness of Trade Union activities in the coming time.
Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, City Party Committee Member, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, Chairwoman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation - acknowledged and highly appreciated the enthusiastic and responsible contributions of the participating delegates.
The conference completed the contents and programs set out, contributing to creating a foundation for the new Executive Committee to operate stably, uniformly, and effectively right from the beginning of the year.
The Chairman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation requested the Executive Committee members and the Standing Committee to continue to send documents contributing to the drafts to soon promulgate and strictly implement the approved regulations, ensuring the principle of democratic centralism, clear assignment, promoting personal responsibility and especially the role and responsibility of the head.
At the same time, focus on caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers (DV, NLD); continue to improve the quality of collective dialogue and negotiation, proactively participate in building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations, promptly grasp and resolve recommendations and grievances from the grassroots level. In particular, the City Trade Union will focus resources and prepare activities to care for DV, NLD on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year 2026.
According to the plan of the Can Tho City Labor Federation, the unit will deploy a variety of forms, creating peak periods of care and support for union members and workers; especially, paying attention to and supporting people in difficult circumstances, affected by natural disasters, suffering from dangerous diseases or losing their jobs, contributing to stabilizing labor relations and ensuring social security.
With the motto "All union members and workers have Tet, celebrate Tet", city-level care activities will include many outstanding programs such as visiting, giving gifts, and wishing Tet to union members and workers in difficult circumstances and low incomes; the program "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" live and online; meetings of trade union officials through periods; programs accompanying businesses, grassroots trade unions and in social security work...
