Mr. Nguyen Van Du (27 years old, Hung Phu ward, Can Tho city) said that life has unexpected upheavals. Equipping life jackets on the bridge railing helps people on the road to have timely support vehicles if they accidentally discover a painful event.
According to Mr. Du, the life jacket is not only a rescue point for the victim but also protects the safety of the person who rushed down to rescue.
He believes that wearing a life jacket when jumping off a bridge will help minimize injuries due to strong impacts on the water surface. Conversely, if you jump into fast-flowing water in conditions without protective equipment, the risk of life for rescuers is very high.
Hung Loi bridge and Tran Hoang Na bridge are high, the river water below flows swiftly and deeply. Equipping lifebuoys right on the railing helps anyone who detects an incident to throw them down immediately for the victim to cling to while waiting for specialized forces.
At the same time, this is also a "shield" to protect safety for people when they want to rush into the water to support, avoiding the risk of exhaustion in the fast flow.
