Due to the impact of storm No. 10 (Bualoi), from September 27 to now, many areas in the south of Lam Dong province have had heavy rain.
In the Bao Loc Pass area (Da Huoai 2 Commune), heavy rain caused a landslide on the pass. Accordingly, at around 4:50 p.m. on September 28, due to the impact of heavy rain lasting for many hours, a landslide occurred at km 98 of National Highway 20 through Bao Loc Pass in Da Huoai 2 Commune.

The landslide site is located about 1.5 km from the foot of Bao Loc Pass. The landslide caused a lot of soil, rocks and bushes to spill onto the road, filling the drainage ditch on the pass.
A large amount of soil and rock spilled onto the edge of the road, endangering people and vehicles traveling through the pass.
Upon receiving the report, the Madaguoi Traffic Police Station (Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police) mobilized officers and soldiers on duty at Bao Loc Pass to quickly arrive to coordinate with Thanh Nam Construction Investment Company 886 (Bao Loc Pass maintenance unit) to overcome the landslide.

According to the authorities, the landslide point extended within a radius of about 6 to 8 meters. There is a high risk of landslides here as heavy rain continues.
The authorities have organized traffic regulation to ensure traffic safety and deployed measures to overcome landslides.
During the process of the authorities' deployment to overcome landslides and heavy rains, it caused many difficulties in implementing the relocation of the volume of rock and soil and tree stumps.
To ensure safety, the Traffic Police force has blocked and temporarily suspended traffic in both directions through the landslide on Bao Loc Pass.
After nearly 2 hours of effort, at about 6:20 p.m. every day, all the landslides of soil, rocks, and bushes were gathered by the authorities on the roadside.
Here, the authorities have put up ropes and warning signs to warn of dangers for drivers to pay attention to ensure safety when traveling through Bao Loc Pass.

Currently, due to the impact of storm No. 10, in the areas of communes and wards south of Lam Dong province, especially the Bao Loc Pass area, there is prolonged heavy rain. The risk of landslides on Bao Loc Pass is very high.
Therefore, the authorities recommend that traffic participants pay special attention to precautions when driving through Bao Loc Pass to ensure safety.
